A key ingredient for the cosmetic industry is now made from bio-based furfural

1,2-pentanediol is a key ingredient for the cosmetic industry and an intermediate for agricultural applications and other specialty markets.

Additional production facilities will come on stream in the fourth quarter of 2014 at the Memphis site of Pennakem, LLC.
